Your information and choices
Privacy Policy
Effective: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MorrowPal collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the MorrowPal social letter-writing application, website, and related support services.
1. Who we are
MorrowPal provides the MorrowPal app and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. References to “MorrowPal,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to the operator of the MorrowPal service.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account and profile: your nickname, optional email address, age range, gender, and other information you choose to add to your profile, such as a short biography or interests.
- Preferences: availability settings and the age range, gender, location, or other targeting preferences you select for matching.
- Content: invitations, letters, replies, and correspondence history.
- Safety and communications: blocked accounts, reports, report reasons and optional details, and information in emails you send us, including requests about your account or data.
- Verification: information needed to verify your email and protect access to your account.
Profile fields, reports, and letters can contain personal or sensitive information if you choose to include it. Please share only information you are comfortable providing to MorrowPal and, for correspondence content, to its intended recipients.
Information collected automatically
- Account access: information needed to keep you signed in and protect your account.
- Service activity: app version, activity times, dispatch and delivery status, and correspondence activity.
- Reliability and safety: IP address, errors, and information used to prevent abuse and keep MorrowPal working.
- Information saved on your device: your profile, settings, letters, correspondence history, invitations, and blocked accounts. Unsent drafts remain on your device and are not submitted to MorrowPal.
MorrowPal does not currently use third-party advertising or analytics services, and it does not request access to your contacts, precise device location, photos, microphone, or camera for its core service.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, maintain, and recover accounts;
- provide profiles, matching, availability preferences, invitations, and private correspondence;
- store, schedule, dispatch, deliver, and display letters and correspondence history;
- send verification and sign-in emails;
- prevent spam, fraud, security incidents, and abuse;
- review reports, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, and protect users;
- operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the reliability of MorrowPal;
- respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
- comply with the law and respond to legal claims.
Why we are allowed to use information
Where the law requires a reason, we use information to provide the service you requested, operate MorrowPal safely, comply with the law, or with your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect uses that already took place.
4. Matching and what other users receive
Age range, gender, location, availability, and targeting preferences may be used to determine which invitations can be sent or received. Other users do not automatically receive every detail used by the matching process or your email address.
Your nickname, relevant profile details, and letters are shared with the people matched with or participating in an exchange. Recipients can copy, save, capture, or share information you send, including in ways that violate MorrowPal’s rules. MorrowPal cannot control copies made by a recipient outside the service.
6. Retention
We keep account, profile, correspondence, and letter information while your account is active and as needed to provide MorrowPal. Some reports and security records may be kept longer when needed to prevent abuse, protect users, comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited time. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove details that identify you.
7. Delete your account
You can permanently delete your MorrowPal account from Account settings in the app. After you confirm deletion, we delete your account, personal information, letters, and other content you created.
We may keep reports and limited safety or security records when needed to protect users, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with the law. Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited time.
If you cannot access the app, email support@morrowpal.com with the subject “MorrowPal account deletion request.” Include your nickname and, if an email is attached to the account, send the request from that address. If your account has no email address, you can still submit a request. We may ask for information needed to verify that the account is yours.
Account deletion is permanent and is different from signing out or removing the app from your device.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can update optional profile details and availability preferences in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of your information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may complain to your local data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, email support@morrowpal.com. Describe your request and include your nickname and account email, if any. We may verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
9. Security and international processing
We use security measures intended to protect your information, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where MorrowPal or its providers operate. When required, we use protections required by law. Companies processing information for us must provide the same or equal protection described in this policy.
10. Adults only
MorrowPal is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may close it and delete associated information as appropriate. Please report a suspected underage account to support@morrowpal.com.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MorrowPal evolves. We will post the current version here and update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method when required.
